day 3: Barcamp day. Normally barcamps are held the first day, and because I have the feeling this FUDcon wasn’t really productive, I think we should get them back to the first day. by the way, the organisation of the event was perfect! So I’m not criticising that.
My barcamp session was about creating a system to stream video to a website or whatever. We decided that we want to be ready with the system before FUDcon NA. We already decided that Flumotion is the way to go, but there are apparently still some problems, at least on my laptop, so there is still some work before we are ready. The goal would be to be ready /before/ FUDcon Tempe.

After my session I went help the QA team by testing the RC beta’s of Fedora 14. Fedora 14 still has some problems, but it looks like we are going to make it! It was already 3pm by then, so I went to the lobby and sat together with Marak and Pavlov where I talked a bit about our hackerspace, Linux, Brussels and other cool things. I lift Zurich at 4.30pm, and arrived in Ghent around 1.30am. meh, I’m never going to take the train again to Zurich, 9hours is just to long if you can fly there is an hour or something. Also, I wrote this on the Thalys (which is an pretty awesome train btw), but the TGV had a delay of some 35minutes. So I had about 15minutes to catch my connection. No problem you would think, if it wasn’t that I first had to go to another station. I made it just on time thanks to the lovely lady who was sitting next to me in the TGV who gave me a metro ticket. Be excellent to each other, even to strangers who are stressing is something very cool! :-)
